1. Work Permit for Scientific Activities
Foreigners coming to Turkey for academic or research purposes must obtain a work permit if the duration of the activity exceeds one month.
For example:
- Lecturing as a guest lecturer at universities
- Participate in joint research projects
- Taking part in academic conferences and seminars

2. Work Permit for Cultural Activities
Foreigners coming to Turkey for cultural activities are evaluated in a similar manner. In particular, persons who will engage in cultural activities for periods exceeding one month must obtain a work permit.

3. Characteristics of Exceptional Authorizations
- Permits are short-term and activity-oriented.
- Deadlines cannot be extended; a new application must be submitted upon expiry.
