Work Permit Inquiry (2025)

Work permits obtained for foreigners to work legally in Turkey can be easily inquired through the online system after application.

Work Permit, Work Permit Exemption and Turquoise Card applications and documents can be checked through the official system of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

1) Information Required for Work Permit Inquiry

At least one of the following information is required to make an inquiry in the system:

• Foreigner Identification Number (starting with 99)
• Application / Document Number
• Reference Number (16-digit number given after application)

2) Step-by-Step Work Permit Inquiry

1. Enter izinsorgula.csgb.gov.tr.
2. Select the inquiry type on the screen that opens:
   • Work Permit
   • Work Permit Exemption
   • Turquoise Card
3. Enter ID / document / reference number in the required fields.
4. View the result by pressing the “Query” button.

3) Information that can be learned through Inquiry

• Current status of the application (in progress / approved / rejected)
• Validity date of the work permit
• Document number and permit duration
• Validity of exemption certificates
• Turquoise Card application and document information

4) Important Notes

• Work permit applications are made by the employer or authorized person. Foreigners can only check their own status through the inquiry screen.
• If incomplete information is entered or an incorrect number is used, the system will not make an inquiry.
• Approved documents are also sent to the employer’s address via PTT.
